2 How to delete your account

Option A — In the app Recommended

  1. Open the BabyShield app and ensure you are signed in with Apple or Google
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy
  3. Tap Delete my account and confirm

This sends a secure request to our deletion endpoint and begins account removal.

Option B — If you can't access the app Email Support

  1. Email support@babyshield.cureviax.com with subject: "Delete my BabyShield account"
  2. We'll reply with a secure link so you can re-authenticate with Apple or Google (we don't store your email). This confirms you own the account being deleted.

⚠️ Irreversible Action

Once deletion is finalized, the action is irreversible. Your data may persist in encrypted backups for 30-90 days and will be purged on the normal backup rotation schedule.

4 Export your data (optional)

If you would like a copy of your data before deletion:

  1. In the app: Settings → Privacy → Export my data
  2. Visit: POST /api/v1/user/data/export (initiated in-app)
  3. Email us at support@babyshield.cureviax.com and we'll send a secure re-authentication link

5 Identity verification

🔐 Privacy-First Verification

Because we do not store your email address, we verify ownership using your identity provider: Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. For email-initiated requests, we will provide a link to re-authenticate and confirm the request is made by the account owner.

6 What happens after deletion

    You will be signed out on all devices, and your account will no longer be recognized
  • 🔒
    Features that require an account will stop working
  • 🆕
    You can create a new account later using Apple/Google, but it will be a new record
